Welcome to the first Bible Society in the United States of America
The mission of the Pennsylvania Bible Society is to distribute Holy Scripture without note or comment to all who want to hear it, at an affordable price, or free of charge to those unable to pay.
The Pennsylvania Bible Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors who serve without compensation. The business affairs of the Society are handled by an Executive Director, a Resource Center Manager, and a Program Coordinator.

What We Do

Daily Scripture Reading Guide
Every year the Pennsylvania Bible Society produces an annual Daily Bible Reading Guide, providing a way for everyone to engage with and be inspired by God’s Holy Scripture on a daily basis.

Bible House/Scripture Resource Center
The Scripture Resource Center located in the historic Bible house offers a comprehensive collection of Scripture. We carry the offerings of many Scripture publishers.
Special texts are available for scholars, Bible study students, children, the vision impaired, and for special events such as baptisms, weddings, graduations, etc.

On December 12, 2021 the Bible Society marked its 213th anniversary of sharing God's Word!
We look forward to many more years of supporting the spiritual growth of individuals around the world. If you’d like to visit our Resource Center, our hours are as follows:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 10:30 to 3:30. We are also open the 2nd Saturday in December – December 11th from 10:30 to 2:30.
